Yes, J.R. Wudel once applied for admission to Juilliard.

As it turned out, his audition came several weeks after the break up with his first true love—he had even given her an engagement ring torn from and old flannel shirt at one point in their relationship. As a result, he spent little time rehearsing and couldn’t even remember his lines.
